MIND Jersey

Mind Jersey is an independent local charity that provides support to people living with mental illness. Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with experience of mental health problems fairly, positively and with respect.

We offer a number of services to ensure our community can be supported with their mental health, but also increase awareness and education about the difference between mental health, wellbeing and mental illness. To support people isolated because of mental health problems we recently opened ‘Friends of Mine’ drop-in centre/cafe which is situated in Seale Street behind the town hall. Providing practical and emotional support for anyone 18 years old and over, no registration or referral needed.

To help fund our free community services we also have services which provide an income, the Training services and Nearly New shop. Our newest training offering is our ‘Managers Guide to Mental Health’ course, which is about recognising the managers role in supporting mental health through observing signs, starting a conversation, and providing support and signposting.

For more information go to the Mind Jersey website.
