UX Community Meet-Up

Hello everyone! Welcome to the next JUX (Jersey UXer’s) community meet-up!

Since this is still a new group, this meet up is going to be about sharing goals, standards, and what we can do to take action on moving UX forward here in Jersey.

I’ll be presenting some ideas on the standards and goals and then will be asking you to get into small groups to brainstorm feedback, ideas, and action items – it should be fun!

I’ve included the agenda below so you know exactly what to expect.

Welcome and Introduction (5 minutes)

• Brief introduction of yourself and the purpose of the meeting.
• Overview of the agenda.

Overview of JUX Community Vision and Mission (10 minutes)

• Present the vision and mission statements.
• Discuss the importance of creating a vibrant UX community in Jersey.

Presentation of UX Standards (10 minutes)

• Explain each standard briefly and provide examples.

Goals and Structure of the Community (10 minutes)

• Discuss the goals (education, collaboration, standards, support, advocacy).
• Explain the community structure (organizing team, meetup events, online presence).

Action Items and Feedback Session (15 minutes)

• Divide attendees into small groups to discuss possible action items for the community.
• Ask groups to brainstorm ideas for future meetups, workshops, and resources.
• Gather feedback on the presented standards and structure.

Group Presentations and Discussion (10 minutes)

• Each group presents their ideas and feedback.
• Open the floor for a brief discussion and consolidation of ideas.

Closing Remarks (5 minutes)

• Summarize key points and action items from the meeting.
• Announce the date and topic for the next meetup.
• Thank everyone for their participation and encourage continued engagement on WhatsApp.
