Virteffic was born out of a desire for greater independence and flexibility in both work and life. After 15 years in the corporate and fiduciary sectors in Jersey, it became clear that there was an opportunity to create something different—something that could meet the changing needs of the market. Stepping away from a secure role as a director in a regulated firm to start a new venture was a bold decision, but it was driven by a clear vision and a passion for innovation.

Despite initial uncertainties, it quickly became evident that there was a strong demand for the specialised services Virteffic offered. Within the first year, the company gained traction, leading to the strategic decision to expand the team in September 2021. This expansion marked the beginning of a significant growth phase, positioning Virteffic as a key player in the industry.

From day one, we aimed to create a workplace where flexibility, well-being, and a strong sense of community were at the forefront. Recognising the challenges associated with managing people in previous roles, we made it a priority to establish a supportive and inclusive work environment. At Virteffic, our team members have the freedom to manage their own schedules, allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

We also established a sports, social, and well-being committee early on, which has been instrumental in fostering a positive team culture. Through regular activities, initiatives, and open communication, we have built a strong sense of community within our predominantly remote working model. This focus on well-being has been central to our success and continues to drive our growth.
